TRANSPORTATION

The official entry points from 14th to 22nd of July for WUC Orienteering 2018 are Vaasa airport and Seinäjoki railway station. The Organizing Committee provides transportation between these entry points and Kuortane Sports Institute according to arrival and departure schedules received by 17th of June 2018. By request we can pick up WUOC participants also from Helsinki (appr. 360 km/5 hours by bus) or Tampere (appr. 170 km/2 hours by bus) airports. However, the cost must be covered by the team itself.
 
ARRIVING BY PLANE AT VAASA AIRPORT (110 km/1,5 hours from Kuortane)

ARRIVING BY TRAIN AT SEINÄJOKI TRAIN STATION (40 km/30 minutes from Kuortane)
In Finland the long distance train traffic is operated by the Finnish Railway Company VR. There are around ten direct train connections between Helsinki and Seinäjoki.
Starting from Helsinki airport, you must change train in Tikkurila (only 8 minutes from the airport). Travel time between the airport and Seinäjoki is approximately 2,5 - 3 hours and the current ticket prices vary between 17,80 and 38 euros/ person (one direction).
